At LDCwood, we want to be Belgium’s first official producer of ThermoWood® to provide the market with high-quality thermally treated timber.
We can build up sufficient stock and respond quickly to customer demand thanks to our production facility with six furnaces. We want to be loyal partners within the specialised timber-processing industry with an eye for quality and excellent customer service. This can only be achieved in collaboration with our team.
As a member of the International ThermoWood® Association, LDCwood meets the highest quality standards, and all our products carry the official ITWA label.
LDCwood is committed to doing business in an eco-friendly and socially responsible way. We only use timber from sustainably-managed forests, treat the timber without chemicals, and earned the label of a carbon-neutral company in 2021.
For many years, Lemahieu Group has been an established name in importing timber and panelling products, with branches in Ghent and Ostend. Decolvenaere has been importing African timber for five generations and has offices in the Ghent Seaport area and sawmills in Cameroon. Both companies have established a solid reputation and are committed to the highest quality. That is why these timber importers have joined forces in LDCwood, a 50/50 joint venture specialising in the thermal modification and commercialisation of timber.
OUR VIEWS ON QUALITY AND SERVICE AS A BINDING FACTOR
This is a first for Belgium and gives a boost to the timber industry. For the first time, two established timber importers have joined their views on quality and service. Lemahieu as the importer of softwood and specialist in timber processing and Decolvenaere as the importer of African timber.
LDCwood is Belgium’s first official ThermoWood® producer. The company is going forward as a member of the International ThermoWood Association. LDCwood is currently modifying ayous, fraké, ash and spruce, with a view to modifying other types of wood in the future.
