With subtle rooflines and serene volumes, this design blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. This innovative structure was built with CLT. The vertical slats break up the long volumes and create a uniform architectural appearance.

Thermally modified pine

The entire outer shell, both the façade and the roof, of the house was finished with sleek, black-stained slats in LDCwood® ThermoWood® pine. This gives the holiday home a stylish and modern look.

Scandinavian softwood is known for its natural look with distinctive knots. The thermal treatment in LDCwood® production kilns improves the properties of this type of wood and makes it suitable for outdoor applications. This innovative method preserves the softwood without the use of chemicals.

This project is a realization by Mark Architecten, Nex2us, Archi2000 and Rose's Natural Homes.
